Amazon Prime original romantic comdey movie ‘The Idea of You’ hits number 1 on Variety’s ‘Streaming Originals Charts’ top 10 recently released films.

The movie, starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine is based on a novel by the same name, where “Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of popular boy band August Moon”.

Rom-coms wave is back and it appears most folks are enjoying the ride!

The movie, released on May 2, has already amassed 714.2 million streams and counting, with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 83 per cent. It received an audience score of 67 per cent.  The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) also gave the movie a 6.4/10 rating.

Both Galitzine and Hathaway have shared their pride in the reception of the film on their socials with Galitzine sharing a post from Amazon MGM Studios’ Instagram which read “Thanks for feeling everything with us. # TheIdeaofYou is the best-performing rom-com on @PrimeVideo EVER.”
