Discussing solutions for the planet in the city of Manaus

The Brazilian city of Manaus is now hosting IDB Invest’s Sustainability Week 2024, which is a global platform for sustainable business.

The hybrid meeting brings together more than 800 global leaders in person in Manaus and more than 10,000 participants virtually.

In addition to inspiring action and facilitating knowledge exchange, the event seeks to unite global and regional leaders in co-creating viable solutions for the Amazon, the region, and the planet.

This global platform, which got underway this morning, has the potential to contribute to solving critical global challenges such as food insecurity, the energy transition, and environmental services.

Convened by IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the IDB Group, the Manaus meeting from June 11-13 is a unique opportunity to unleash the power of collaboration and exponentially increase the impact on development.

Topics for discussion

During the three days of the meeting attendees will discuss topics of impact investment, climate change, Amazon, inclusion, and bioeconomy, highlighting the commitment of the IDB Group, its partners, stakeholders, clients, and investors to co-create impact in Latin America and the Caribbean and the role of the private sector as a driver of sustainable growth.
