Google announced on Monday, June 24, that it’s bringing a tailored version of Gemini to teen students’ school accounts to foster safe interaction with AI.

The company says that Gemini will offer real-time feedback and assistance to improve student learning capabilities and AI literacy free of charge.

Google also unveiled several new tools within Google Classroom aimed at enhancing teaching and learning experiences, including AI-suggested questions and Read Along, an AI support service for building reading skills, among others.

Google says it will not use data from chats with students to train its AI models and has implemented guardrails to prevent inappropriate responses and safeguards to restrict inappropriate use.

The video below will be shown to every teen during onboarding.
