C&W Business reaffirms commitment to First Angels Caribbean

C&W Business has pledged its continued support to First Angels Caribbean, a network of angel investors dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship across the region.
Originally established as FirstAngelsJA in July 2014, the organisation recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary with a fundraising awards dinner at the AC Marriott Hotel.
The event brought together business executives, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders from various sectors to celebrate a decade of impactful investment and mentorship.
Delroy McLean, senior director at C&W Business, underscored the importance of entrepreneurship in driving Jamaica’s economy. “Entrepreneurship is the lifeblood of Jamaica’s economy, and we are proud to support an initiative that has provided invaluable resources to so many businesses throughout the country,” McLean stated.
“As the region’s leading provider of technology solutions for businesses, we understand the importance of reliable partnerships. We are pleased to be a part of the First Angels network and look forward to the continued success of First Angels Caribbean,” McLean added.
At the event, First Angels Caribbean Chairman Joseph Matalon called for more Jamaicans to support the network’s mission. “The need for angel investors has never been greater. The Caribbean is full of talented individuals who need financial backing and mentorship. By becoming a member, you can contribute to a movement that promises both financial returns and a lasting impact,” Matalon said.
To date, members of First Angels have invested $398 million in innovative Jamaican businesses. The awards event also honoured ten founding members of the First Angels Network and featured a keynote address from Daymond John, investor and star of Shark Tank.
