Sophia Laing, wife of gospel reggae artiste Cleveland ‘Stitchie’ Laing, says the singer is showing encouraging signs of recovery after recently suffering a severe brain haemorrhage.

Laing said that while Stitchie is gradually improving, he remains in need of significant rehabilitation to continue his progress.

“We are diligently looking for the appropriate facility that can provide Cleve with the care he needs. In the meantime, we are requesting your prayers and financial support to help make this possible,” she said in an update on the singer’s condition.

The Laing family earlier this month moved to start a GoFundMe campaign to assist with funding to assist the Fast & Pray singer to reach full recovery. His family is now seeking a rehabilitation facility that can provide the specialised therapy and care for Stitchie to regain his strength and mobility.

Some USD $17,976 has been raised so far of the USD $100,000 goal.

The family said: “All funds raised will go directly towards securing a rehabilitation facility, covering medical expenses, and providing ongoing care to support Cleve’s recovery.”
