C&W Communications has appointed Santiago Londono as chief commercial officer, B2B, effective October 1, 2024.

Londono joins C&W Communications from Millicom where he was most recently vice-president and general manager, B2B, Latin America leading a team of more than 3,000 employees across 10 countries. He has over 24 years of experience in the telecommunication, technology, IT, and professional services sectors.

The new chief commercial officer succeeds Nicolas Collette, who will leave the business at the end of the year to return to his native Belgium with his family.

“We are excited to welcome Santiago Londono to the leadership team as our new chief commercial officer, B2B. Santiago’s deep expertise and passion for innovation will serve us well as we continue to expand our B2B offerings across the region,” said Inge Smidts, chief executive officer, C&W Communications.

“At the same time, we thank Nicolas for his outstanding contributions. His leadership and dedication will be missed, and we wish him and his family all the best as they embark on this next chapter.”

Collette was instrumental in leading the growth and transformation of the company’s B2B operations. One of his most notable accomplishments was the successful launch of Flow Business, which has become a critical telecoms resource dedicated to empowering small businesses and entrepreneurs with the technology and support they need to thrive in today’s digital economy.

In the large enterprise segment, he also spearheaded the introduction of new customer value propositions for the government and hospitality sectors, Liberty ICT, and the development of innovative modular data centres and smart city initiatives.

In the coming months, there will be a transition period during which Collette and Londono will collaborate closely to ensure a seamless handover, maintaining continuity for customers and partners.
