Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has been approved by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) as a participating airline in the TSA PreCheck® programme.

The programme allows eligible passengers flying on Caribbean Airlines to have the same expedited airport security screening experience available at more than 200 US airports.

As such, eligible passengers can get through airport security lanes more efficiently; keep their shoes, belts, and light jackets on; leave laptops in their bags; and keep certain liquids in their bags.

US citizens, US nationals, and lawful permanent residents may apply or renew for TSA PreCheck. Other persons may also check their eligibility by applying for Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI, which may include TSA PreCheck benefits.

According to CAL, “Enrolling in TSA PreCheck is easy via https://www.tsa.gov/precheck. Once approved, travellers receive a unique Known Traveler Number (KTN) that when added to their Caribbean Airlines reservation, makes them eligible to use TSA PreCheck lanes at airport security checkpoints throughout the United States. Most new enrollees receive a KTN within three to five days, though some applications can take up to 60 days.”

Approved TSA PreCheck passengers may enter their KTN at any point before travelling via www.caribbean-airlines.com, during web check-in, via the Caribbean Airlines Reservations Call Centre or at any Caribbean Airlines ticket office or check-in counter.
