A ridge across Jamaica. The ridge is expected to remain throughout today, with a prefrontal trough moving into the vicinity of the island tomorrow.

A cold front is then expected to be west of Jamaica by Friday evening and become stationary across Jamaica by early Saturday. For the weekend, expect cooler temperatures for the island, along with windy conditions and occasional showers mainly across northern parishes due to the presence of the Frontal System.
