Opposition Spokesperson on Sports, Wavell Hinds, extends heartfelt congratulations to Team Jamaica after their phenomenal performance at the 2025 CARIFTA Games, where they once again emerged as the top-performing nation.

Jamaica finished the three-day meet with a total of 78 medals, 30 gold, 27 silver, and 21 bronze, maintaining their proud legacy of athletic dominance in the region.

“This is yet another proud moment for Jamaica. Our athletes showed up with courage, discipline, and fire in their hearts, and they delivered. Their victories are a testament to the strength of our youth and the power of preparation,” Hinds said.

He also saluted the coaches, support teams, families, and the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) for the essential role they continue to play in shaping the country’s rising stars.

“As someone who has proudly represented Jamaica on the international stage, I know the sacrifices these athletes make. Their commitment inspires us all, and I look forward to seeing them rise to even greater heights,” he added.

Hinds reaffirmed his belief in the importance of consistent investment in youth and sports development, noting that the achievements seen at CARIFTA reflect not just natural talent, but years of dedication and structured support.
