The police are searching for a man who triggered a security scare at the Seaview Gardens Police Station in St Andrew on Wednesday.

According to reports, around 3:20 pm, a male caller claimed that an explosive device had been planted at the station.

The threat prompted the activation of emergency protocols, and relevant agencies were immediately contacted.

A thorough search was conducted, but no device was found.

Police have since confirmed the call was a hoax and are working to locate the individual responsible.
