15-y-o autistic boy hit by vehicle while running across Nonpareil main road

A 15-year-old student of the Llandilo School of Special Education is currently in intensive care after being hit by a vehicle along the Nonpareil main road in Negril, Westmoreland, on Monday afternoon.

It is reported that around 5 pm, the child, who is reported to be autistic, was seen on video playing and running repeatedly across the roadway where he was struck by an oncoming vehicle. 

He was rushed to the Savanna-La-Mar Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Further details surrounding the incident are being investigated.
