Retired Jamaican sprinter Shockoria Wallace became the first Jamaican athlete to sign up for the highly controversial Enhanced Games.

The 32-year-old Wallace, who has a personal best of 11.09 for the 100m and 7.22 for the 60 metres, made the announcement via a video posted on her Instagram page on Monday.

“Hello everyone, I am Shockoria Wallace. I am a retired Jamaican athlete, and today I am officially announcing that I am now a member of the Enhance Game team. I am proud, I am excited to go on this journey with Enhance Games,” she said.

The inaugural Enhanced Games is a multi-sport event that is scheduled to debut in Las Vegas in May 2026. It is the brainchild of Australian businessman Aron D’Souza, and it allows athletes to use performance-enhancing substances without being subject to drug tests. A practice banned by traditional athletic bodies like World Athletics.

A lot of athletes are gravitating towards it, having a reported huge prize money of US$1 million.

“They do provide a lot for athletes. They do provide a lot of opportunities for athletes and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be working with them moving forward,” said Wallace.

She continued: “So, guys, join me on May 24th, 2026, in Las Vegas, where I, Shockoria Wallace, will be racing down that track to break the world record and win a grand prize of 1 million US dollars. I am excited.

“Also, I would like to say that there is literally no pressure for athletes at Enhance Game to take enhancement. I mean, they give us a choice. They give us the choice to compete naturally or to compete enhanced while under medical supervision. Anyways, see you guys in Las Vegas. Bye,” she concluded.
