
Jamaica’s Under-17 Reggae Girlz have qualified for the final round of the CONCACAF Women’s U-17 Championship by defeating Honduras 1-0 in Aruba.
Elizabeth Miller scored the all-important goal in minute 44, enabling Jamaica to leapfrog Honduras as Group D winners with 10 points from four games.
Honduras finished in second spot on nine points and will wait to see if they qualify as one of the two best second-placed teams. Guyana whipped St Vincent 14-0 and finished in third spot with seven points.
Jamaica join El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Costa Rica, USA, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Three other spots will be decided.
In the final round, the top four teams will qualify for the 2026 U-17 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is slated for Morocco in October.
