Toshami Calvin crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2022

Toshami Calvin, a cousin of Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh, on Saturday night (September 3) was named Miss Universe Jamaica 2022 inside the AC Hotel Kingston.

Along with her overall title win, Calvin, representing Giajay Natural Gift & Body Shop, was took home Best in Evening Gown and tied for the Essence of Style Award with Miss WiPay Jamaica Shanique Singh.

The new Miss Universe Jamaica received the crown from Miss Universe Jamaica 2021 Daena Soares after Miss Millennium Paving Stones Ltd Rachel Silvera was named first runner-up and Singh was named second runner-up.

Calvin will now prepare to represent Jamaica at the 71st Miss Universe pageant, to be held in the first quarter of 2023, though an official date and host country have yet to be announced.

Harnaaz Sandhu of India, the reigning Miss Universe, will crown her successor at the event.
