AIC Hotel Group, a leading hospitality brand based in Miami with operations in the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean, is expanding its UNICO brand in Jamaica and Mexico.
This will be done under the just-announced UNICO Hotel Collection. Known for its exceptional cuisine, stunning locations, and award-winning programming, the UNICO brand is being extended into the UNICO Hotel Collection.
The move follows the success of UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya in Mexico with the hospitality brand now eyeing new locations in Montego Bay, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
In making the announcement today, the hotel chain did not share any details about its planned Jamaican resort but explains, “the first property, UNICO 20°105° Puerto Vallarta, is slated to open in fall 2025. The 141-room boutique hotel will be situated between Banderas Bay and the Sierra Madre Mountains and boast numerous highlights including a rooftop pool with sweeping views.”
According to AIC Hotel Group, “the UNICO Hotel Collection will focus on local culture and experiences, drawing guests with “distinctive cuisine, mixology, art, wellness, fitness, and curated adventures designed to connect guests with the unique qualities of each location”.
Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Ash Tembe, issued a statement this morning saying, “The success of UNICO 20°87° Riviera Maya demonstrates the power of our original promise: an all-inclusive experience with personalized service, thoughtful customization, world-class food and beverage, wellness offerings, and unique programming that celebrates local culture.”
Continuing, he remarked, “our approach resonates with guests, distinguishing us in the all-inclusive market with a level of service and culture rarely seen in the industry. Expanding to the UNICO Hotel Collection is a natural next step, allowing us to bring the brand to new destinations known for their vibrant cultures and natural beauty.”
