Social media influencer Andrew Tate has been banned from TikTok, Facebook and Instagram for ‘violating policies around dangerous organisations and individuals and hate speech’.
The 35-year-old, who rose to astronomical notoriety on social media this year, is known for what have been considered his misogynistic views and wealth and lifestyle tips.
Even reposts of Tate’s content have been removed by TikTok and restricted from appearing on users’ For You pages.
“Misogyny is a hateful ideology that is not tolerated on TikTok,” said a TikTok representative. “(Our) investigation into this content is ongoing.”
Prior to the ban, Tate had four million followers on Instagram and more than 100, 000 on TikTok.
The influencer has also been accused of running a high level scam with his online marketing training programme, ‘Hustlers University’.
The programme, which costs $49 a month, is branded as a “community where Tate and dozens of War Room soldiers will teach YOU exactly how to make money”.
However, several claims have been made that ‘Hustlers University’ is a multi-level marketing scheme where members are incentivised to speak positively about the programme for monetary gain.
