Just over a year after the shock trade that sent Luka Doncic to Dallas for Anthony Davis, the Brow is on the move again, this time heading to the Washington Wizards.

Davis joins D’Angelo Russell, Dante Exum, and Jaden Hardy in the deal, while the Wizards are sending Khris Middleton, AJ Johnson, Malaki Branham, Marvin Bagley, plus two first-round and three second-round picks to Dallas.

Davis played 29 games for the Mavericks, averaging 20.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists, including a 21-point outing in his final game last month against the Utah Jazz.

The trade comes a year after Dallas’ controversial decision to acquire Davis for Doncic, a move that led to the firing of Nico Harrison just nine months later.

With Davis gone, the Mavericks’ biggest prize from that historic trade has vanished, leaving a bitter reminder of one of the NBA’s most talked-about moves of recent memory.
