Appfinity Technologies Limited has launched a digital relief mapping and management platform designed to “revolutionise” the coordination of disaster relief across Jamaica, following the devastating passage of Hurricane Melissa.
Aptly named Relief Link Jamaica (www.relieflinkja.com), the platform provides a seamless bridge between donors, relief agencies, and government partners to ensure aid reaches those most in need swiftly, transparently, and directly.
Through Relief Link Jamaica, affected individuals can submit applications, upload proof of damage by sharing their stories through photos, videos, and testimonials, all from their mobile devices. Each applicant is then mapped by parish, community, and GPS coordinates, allowing for precise tracking and response planning.
“We created Relief Link Jamaica to bring order, accountability, and humanity to how disaster aid is delivered,” explained George Henry, founder and CEO of Appfinity Technologies Limited.

“In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, we saw too many cases of people crying for help online, but donors had no structured way to verify, track, or respond effectively. Relief Link changes that; it’s about putting technology to work for people, in real time, when they need it most.”
The platform allows donors—individuals, NGOs, or corporations—to browse verified applicants by parish, family size, or type of need, and sponsor households directly through registered partners such as the Eastern Westmoreland Hurricane Relief Program and other community-based organisations.
While social media-driven relief efforts can be chaotic and unverifiable, Relief Link Jamaica offers end-to-end visibility of the relief process from application and verification to donation and distribution. Every transaction is logged with automated audit trails and exportable reports by parish, aid type, and donor engagement, ensuring that every contribution can be tracked and measured.

The platform is completely free, so Appfinity Technologies does not receive any money or goods. Instead, all donations go directly to verified relief partners and affected individuals through established, trusted channels.
“Transparency builds trust,” Henry stated. “We wanted to build a system where every dollar, every bag of rice, every mattress could be traced, not for bureaucracy’s sake, but to restore faith in giving. People want to help, and with Relief Link, they can do so with confidence that their generosity is making a real, documented difference.”
Through partnerships with local organisations, Appfinity has ensured that on-the-ground verification and data accuracy remain central to the platform’s operation. This hybrid approach combines digital efficiency with community-level insight to ensure that aid reaches the right hands at the right time.
“Technology alone isn’t the answer,” Henry noted. “It’s technology plus trusted partnerships: that’s how we make sure no one falls through the cracks.”
As Jamaica continues its recovery from Hurricane Melissa, Appfinity Technologies is extending a call to organisations, especially private sector and NGOs, to come on board as partners. By joining the platform, they can help scale relief efforts, improve coordination, and gain access to powerful data tracking tools to measure impact and accountability in real time.
As Jamaica continues its recovery from Hurricane Melissa, Appfinity Technologies hopes that Relief Link Jamaica will become a national model for how disaster relief can be managed efficiently, transparently, and compassionately.
“Our goal is simple: To use innovation to rebuild trust, restore hope, and reimagine how we respond to crises not just for this hurricane, but for the future,” Henry said.
