Jannik Sinner once again proved why he sits at the top of men’s tennis, defeating Alexander Zverev to win back-to-back Wimbledon titles.
The Italian battled through a four-set contest, winning 6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the All England Club.
Zverev came out with confidence after claiming his first Grand Slam title at the French Open last month, but Sinner’s consistency proved too much in the final.
The victory extends Sinner’s winning run against Zverev to 10 matches. He becomes just the 10th man in the Open era to successfully defend the Wimbledon men’s singles crown.
