Defending champions Barbados continue to lead the Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 50 Over Championship after maintaining their unbeaten run through three rounds. A 63 run victory over Guyana moved Barbados to 22 points and extended their lead as teams battle for a place in the final.
The Leeward Islands made the biggest jump on the table, moving into second place after a dominant 144-run win over the Windward Islands, while Jamaica climbed to third after defeating Trinidad and Tobago. Barbados captain Gadson Bowens remains the tournament’s leading run scorer, with teammate Jordan Graham also moving into the top three after his impressive 78 from 101 deliveries against Guyana.
The bowling race remains tight, with Trinidad and Tobago’s Daniel Holder leading with nine wickets, while Jamaica’s Jahdae Moore and Leeward Islands’ Matthew Miller are close behind on eight each. With two preliminary rounds left, Barbados hold the advantage, but the battle for the remaining top positions remains wide open.
