BOOT Jamaica was awarded Business of the Year, the highest honour at the St Ann Chamber of Commerce Awards Ceremony, solidifying its position as one of the parish’s most dynamic and forward-moving enterprises.

The award was presented by Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who delivered the keynote address at the event held at Cardiff Hall Hotel in Runaway Bay on March 29. The ceremony brought together members of the business community, Chamber directors, government representatives, and stakeholders from across the parish.

Accepting the award on behalf of the company were Founder and Executive Director Wayne Boothe and Chief Operating Officer Alexcia Boothe, marking a significant milestone in BOOT Jamaica’s continued trajectory of growth and innovation.

BOOT Jamaica emerged from a highly competitive field of nominees, which included Pure Chocolate Jamaica and Jamaica Public Service Company. Judges and peers alike cited the company’s bold expansion strategy as a defining factor in its selection, particularly the groundbreaking of its highly anticipated BOOT 2 development in September 2025.

The annual awards ceremony recognises excellence in business performance and contribution to economic development within the parish. This year, 12 awards were presented across categories, including Social Responsibility and Community Impact, Education Excellence, and Small Business of the Year, with Business of the Year representing the pinnacle of achievement.

In highlighting broader contributions to national resilience, Custos of St Ann Joseph Issa commended the work of the Custos Commandos in strengthening emergency response systems. BOOT Jamaica’s Chief Operating Officer, Alexcia Boothe, was recognised for her leadership in advancing a parish-wide shelter support initiative. The programme distributed 2,000 sleeping bags and soup kits, alongside critical upgrades to shelter infrastructure to improve access to reliable power during emergencies and enhance overall response efficiency during the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Speaking following the award presentation, Wayne Boothe underscored the significance of the recognition within the company’s broader growth agenda.

“This award comes at a defining moment for BOOT Jamaica. As we expand through developments such as BOOT 2 and planned growth in parishes, including St James and Trelawny, we are reimagining what convenience and service look like across Jamaica. We are honoured by this recognition and remain committed to sustained investment, innovation, and excellence in St Ann and beyond,” he said.

Boothe also acknowledged the continued support of the team, partners, and customers, reaffirming the commitment to delivering exceptional service while contributing meaningfully to economic growth and community development across the island.
