The Lawns of UWI Mona were immersed in the smooth harmonies and iconic sounds of the iconic R&B group from Philadelphia, Boyz II Men.
The boys from Philly delivered an unforgettable performance, showcasing their legendary appeal and exceptional talent, making the concert a resounding success.
The evening kicked off with electrifying performances by Jamaican reggae star Lila Ike, songstress Tessanne Chin, and a group of young musicians called The Prodigies.
Lila captivated the audience with her soulful melodies with songs such as Solitude, Where I’m Coming From and He Loves Us Both. Tessanne, a beloved figure on the Jamaican music scene, brought her powerful vocals and charisma to the stage, belting out ballads from her timeless catalogue including Hideaway, Tumbling Down and Anything’s Possible. Both artistes set the tone for an evening filled with musical brilliance.

As the main event approached, excitement filled the air as MC for the night, Debbie Bissoon, announced the group’s entrance on stage. The moment Boyz II Men took the stage, it was clear that the night would be one to remember.
Performing a selection of their greatest hits, Boyz II Men captivated the audience by blending their voices in harmony while encouraging everyone to sing along to beloved songs. The grand finale featured their cherished hit, I’ll Make Love to You. As a gesture of gratitude, they showered the crowd with roses, topping off an extraordinary night.
Corporate communications and public relations manager at Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) Chloleen Muschette-Daley, representing the event’s title sponsor, was elated with the successful outcome of the concert.

Cash Pot, which provided front-row access to the festivities and opportunities to meet and greet the group backstage. In addition, the gaming giant decked out the venue with two cabanas which buzzed with excitement all night long.
Mayberry Investments Limited’s private cabana was a lively spot and the Jack Daniels bar kept the whiskey cocktails flowing, adding to the fun as patrons danced the night away.

Cheryl Peart, Live & Direc production coordinator, echoed the sentiments expressed by Muschette-Daley, sharing that “Bringing Boyz II Men to Kingston was a dream come true. Their ability to connect with fans through their timeless music is second to none. We are thrilled with the reception from the crowd, which truly made this event unforgettable. We look forward to hosting more legendary artistes in the very near future!”
Not to miss out on the musical showdown, Prime Minister Andrew Holness joined the group on stage briefly to exchange pleasantries and accolades with the trio. The concert was a celebration of music and a testament to the enduring legacy of Boyz II Men and the vibrant talent within Jamaica’s music scene.
