England winger Bukayo Saka has committed his next five years to Arsenal, signing a contract that keeps him at the club until 2031 and makes him the Gunners’ highest-paid player with wages exceeding £300,000 a week.

The 24 year old had already extended his previous deal in 2023, but this new agreement locks in his peak years at the heart of Mikel Arteta’s squad. Negotiations have been ongoing for almost a year, following a verbal agreement earlier this January.

Saka’s renewal comes alongside other long-term deals for stars such as William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis Skelly, as Arsenal aim to hold on to the core of their title-chasing squad. This season, Saka has contributed seven goals in 33 appearances while Arsenal lead the Premier League by four points, prepares to face Manchester City in the EFL Cup final, and remains in contention in both the Champions League knockout stages and the FA Cup fifth round.
