Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances Ltd (CFF) is continuing to provide support to the End Time Basic School, an early childhood institution based in the Pennwood Place community of St Andrew.

As their primary early childhood beneficiary for the last six years, CFF – a company under The Derrimon Trading Group, and supplier of flavours and fragrances for beverage, baking, confectionary and ice cream manufacturers across the Caribbean – has  assisted the institution at various points in the year, donating seasonal treats for the children, contributing to infrastructural development, furniture repairs, event sponsorship and providing toiletries.

Founded in September 1995, and home to 43 students, the institution continually aims to provide a well-rounded experience for all its adherents and focuses on fostering a holistic environment for development through that experience.

The institution’s existing relationship with CFF allows it to ensure this vision is made a reality for every student who attends.

CFF has played a vital role in supporting schools within the community as, it has said, giving back is a fundamental principle on which the company stands.

Janique McKenzie, senior business development officer at CFF, said: “We thought it prudent to adopt the End Time Basic School in Pennwood and we have played a lead role in their overall activities and institutional improvement over the last six years. Their sports day was just another opportunity for us to give back and participate in their development and success of the students, parents and teachers.”

The school’s annual Sports Day took place on April 5 and the presence of the CFF family was not missed through its financial and physical assistance. CFF not only provided refreshments for the students but also contributed the medal awards for the day in addition to the physical support of staff to assist with the overall execution of the day.

Mink Tulloch-Paige, principal of End Time, noted the enjoyment, excitement and competitive spirit displayed on the faces of all students in attendance on the day.

“This year’s sports day was outstanding, the best staging that the school has ever experienced. The students were extremely excited to compete with each other and anxiously wanted their house to be the winner of the day,” Tulloch-Paige said.

“CFF assisted tremendously this year through sponsoring medals, food and tents. Their contribution is always greatly appreciated.”

CFF said it would continue to assist with daily operation at End Time while maintaining the overall partnership with the school.
