Defending champions Cavalier and Mount Pleasant will meet in the final of the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League for the third consecutive year.
In the all-Corporate Area clash, Cavalier defeated Arnett Gardens 1-0 in their second leg semi-final game on Sunday night at Sabina Park, winning the two-legged tie 2-1 on aggregate.
Mount Pleasant of St Ann drew 1-1 with St James’ Montego Bay United and won 2-1 on aggregate.
Both Cavalier and Mount Pleasant have secured spots in the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup reserved for the top two teams in the league. Cavalier are also the Caribbean champions.

This will be Cavalier’s fourth final in the last five years, and they owe their success largely to the inspirational performance by Dwayne “Busy” Atkinson, who tormented the Arnett Gardens backline.
It was his powerful shot that was blocked into the path of Jalmaro Calvin, who fired home from an acute angle in the 59th minute. It was his 21st goal of the season, and he remained intact to win the Golden Boots race, sitting only one goal behind leader Warner Brown of Arnett Gardens on 22.
In the first encounter, Mount Pleasant’s 16-year-old Haitian, Franco Celestin, scored a brilliant solo goal in the 38th minute while Brian Brown pulled Montego Bay level, tapping home in the 62nd minute.
Celestin left defender Darnel Hosedales for dead on the goal line, slipping the ball through the legs, then from an acute angle fired past goalkeeper Davonnie Burton.

Brian Brown replied for Montego Bay United, slotting home in the 62nd minute for his 13th goal of the season.
The big final will be held on Labour Day, Friday, May 23 at the National Stadium with a double header as the last two champions, Cavalier (2024) and Mount Pleasant (2023), face off.
There will also be a third-place playoff between Arnett Gardens and Montego Bay United, of which the winner will represent Jamaica in the CFU Caribbean Shield, in which Arnett Gardens are the defending champions.
