Tonight (August 1), as the sun sets on Emancipation Day, the night sky promises to end the day in a spectacular way with a Supermoon.
The Supermoon phenomenon occurs when the moon reaches its closest point to Earth during its orbit, a point known as the perigee, during a full moon. This proximity makes the moon appear up to 14 per cent larger and 30 per cent brighter than a regular full moon.

If you’re a fan of nature, tonight is a great night to head to a lookout, or the hills, with some friends or that special person, and take in the sight and capture the moments on camera.
