In Corporate Movements this week, the board of directors of VM Investments Limited (VMIL) announced the appointment of Dennis Cohen as a director, effective October 1.

Cohen currently serves as a director of VM Financial Group and brings extensive financial and leadership experience, having served in senior executive and board positions across the banking, capital markets and insurance industries.

The board welcomed Cohen and expressed its confidence that his depth of expertise and strategic insight will support the continued growth and governance of VMIL.

Karen Vaz resigns as a director of One on One Educational Services

One on One Educational Services Limited advised of the resignation of Karen Vaz as a director and, consequently, as chairperson of the remuneration sub-committee, effective August 31.

The company described Vaz as “a true partner, whose support, guidance, and strategic contributions have been invaluable to the board and the company”.

“Her impact will not be forgotten, and we are deeply grateful for her service,” the firm added.

David Allen, CEO of Info Exchange Limited, has been tapped to join the Palace Amusement Company’s board of directors. The decision was taken at a meeting of the board of directors, held on July 8.

Paul Moses departs Honey Bun  

Business executive Paul Moses has resigned from the board of Honey Bun Limited, effective September 24. 

During his tenure, which began when the company was publicly listed on the JSE Junior Market in 2011, Moses has provided invaluable guidance and leadership, contributing significantly to the growth and success of the company.

“We are deeply appreciative of his commitment and service over the years. The company has thanked Moses for his contribution to both the company and the wider industry, and we extend our best wishes as he embarks on this next chapter,” Honey Bun noted.

Salada Foods Jamaica Limited has advised on the appointment of Michael Murray as financial controller with effect from October 1.

PBS changes auditors

The board of directors of Productive Business Solutions is announcing that, effective September 24, its external auditors have been changed from PricewaterhouseCoopers to Deloitte & Touche.
