The Caribbean Premier League is set to break new ground this summer, with the 2026 season kicking off on August 7th in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for the first time.
The spotlight will fall on Arnos Vale Stadium, which is scheduled to host three matches during the opening leg of the tournament. The venue will now welcome some of the biggest names in T20 cricket as the CPL expands its reach across the region.
CPL Chief Pete Russell sees the move as a step forward for the competition’s growth, while Minister of Youth, Sports, Culture and Creative Industries Kaschaka Cupid has described it as a proud moment for the host nation.
Beyond the matches, the tournament is expected to bring a boost to tourism, with increased activity for hotels, vendors and local businesses. Entertainment events and fan experiences are also expected to add to the atmosphere, turning the opening phase into more than just cricket.
