Dalrymple Philibert reclaims Trelawny Southern constituency

The Jamaica Labour Party’s candidate, Marisa Dalrymple-Philibert, has regained control of Southern Trewlany constituency following today’s by-election.

Philibert copped 4146 votes to secure victory ahead of independent candidate Lloyd Gillings with some 1434 votes.

The overall voter turnout was 22.3 per cent. Some 25,041 persons were eligible to vote.

Preliminary results published by the Electoral Commission of Jamaica

The Electoral Office of Jamaica says these are preliminary results. The official results will be published after the final count is done by the returning officer
