The Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) through its Boosting Innovation Growth & Entrepreneurship Ecosystem (BIGEE) programme recently hosted its quarterly conversation and networking event, at the SUMMIT on Chelsea Avenue in St Andrew.

Close to 50 small businesses and entrepreneurs, whose products and services are export-ready, attended the event, which was held under the theme – ‘Gateway to Growth: Exploring Business Opportunities Beyond our Borders’.

Presenters were Dr. Fred McKinney, retired professor at the University of Connecticut and has been recognized by the Massachusetts Small Business Administration as the “Advocate of the Year for Minority Businesses”; Craig Powe, CEO of Adtelligent Limited and conceptualiser of the highly successful LATAM Conference.  He currently exports his services to several Caribbean and South American countries. Christopher Brown, BIGEE programme manager, BIGEE, moderated the one-hour discussions, which was followed by questions from the audience.

Each presenter gave valuable insights on how to break into the North American and Latin America and Caribbean markets.
