Digicel Jamaica is back as the title sponsor for the 2024 ISSA Schoolboy Football season, underscoring its support for young Jamaican athletes.
The season kicked off on September 7 at the Catherine Hall Sports Complex in Montego Bay, where Mona High School, the reigning Manning Cup champions, defeated Waterford High School 7-0.
Carlton Brown was named man of the match for his standout performance.

Elon Parkinson, Digicel’s head of communications and corporate affairs, explained that their sponsorship is about more than just advertising.
“We see sports as a way to inspire and support young people. By backing ISSA Schoolboy Football, we’re giving them a chance to show their skills and strive for success both on the field and beyond,” he said.

After the match, Brown reflected on the importance of starting strong.
“A good start is key, and we’re focused on keeping up this level of performance throughout the season. My goal is to give my best every game,” he said.
