After years of making his mark across the Caribbean and North America, DJ Kryptic is gearing up for his return to the UK, where he will take the stage at the City Splash Reggae & Afrobeats Festival this May.
The festival, known for its celebration of reggae, dancehall, and Caribbean music, is one of Europe’s biggest platforms for the culture.
The booking comes after ongoing conversations with the City Splash team since last year’s staging, marking a significant moment in Kryptic’s growing career.
“We’ve been in talks with the City Splash team since last year’s staging, so when they reached out to add me to this year’s lineup, it was an easy yes. Big shoutout to Becca D and G33zy for making the link with the organisers.” Kryptic said.
“I haven’t been back to England since I left in 2020, so returning not just as a visitor but as a performer at one of Europe’s biggest reggae festivals is a full-circle moment for me. It’s an honour to represent and bring my sound to a festival that truly celebrates the culture. I’m definitely looking forward to this one!” he exclaimed.
Known for his high-energy sets that fuse dancehall, UK rap, and Afrobeats, Kryptic has built a solid reputation on both the Caribbean and international circuits. His past performances include Chug It!, I Love Soca, DreamWknd, BRT Weekend and Carnival Road March in Jamaica, as well as recent appearances in Florida and Canada.
With City Splash 2025, Kryptic adds another milestone to his journey, stepping onto a global stage that will feature headliners Popcaan, Spice, Tarrus Riley and others.
City Splash 2025 takes place in Brockwell Lark, London, this May.
