Donald Glover, known popularly as Childish Gambino, released his fifth and final studio album, ‘Bando Stone and the New World‘ this Friday (July 19), bidding goodbye to the music industry as his quirky alter ego.

Glover expressed to his fans in 2017 during the Governor’s Ball that he would eventually retire his moniker and referred to ‘This is America‘ as ‘the last Gambino tour ever’.

The multi-talented singer and five-time Grammy winner has dabbled and mixed multiple genres like psychedelic soul, hip-hop, and trap, cementing his artistry and creativity across his albums and EPs alike.

With the success of his hit TV show ‘Atlanta‘ Glover expressed ending his music career because he doesn’t think it’s “necessary” anymore.

He also said, “There’s nothing worse than like a third sequel, like a third movie, and we’re like, ‘again?’”

“You know, I like it when something’s good, and when it comes back, there’s a reason to come back; there’s a reason to do that.”
