Renowned evangelist and gospel artiste, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, and his Perfecting Faith Church Missions Team are now in Jamaica to follow through with commitments made during the Fact Finding Symposium in June 2023 for The Callaloo Mews Improvement Project.

Pastor McClurkin is partnering with Fellowship Tabernacle, New Testament Church of God, Food For The Poor, and The Callaloo Mews Community in Kingston.

The team, which will be in Jamaica from today to Saturday, September 14, 2024, will also be hosting a medical/Hurricane Beryl Relief Mission in St. Elizabth.

The Fact Finding Symposium in June 2023 was held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston.

Tomorrow, Pastor McClurkin will collaborate with Food For the Poor in building new homes for residents of the Callaloo Mews community who meet the criteria established by them.

Mission’s itinerary

Pastor McClurkin and members of his team will view and observe the building of the first house that will be handed over to bless a very special family.

While in Callaloo Mews, the team will be hosted by the Callaloo Mews Basic School, which is near and dear to Pastor McClurkin’s heart. At the same time, the Missions Trip dental/medical team will be onsite at the school to provide dental services for the children.

On Thursday, September 12, Pastor McClurkin and the team will be heading to the Newell High School in St Elizabeth for a Hurricane Relief supplies distribution with Bishop Dwight Whitley, District Overseer of the New Testament Church of God, during a Community Health Fair, and giveaways for Hurricane Relief.

Farmers in this parish suffered heavy damage to their crops and poultry due to Hurricane Beryl. They will be getting donations of seeds, young plants, and chickens to assist in the growth acceleration and replenishing efforts.

On Friday, September 13, the team will journey to Jacob’s Ladder, Mustard Seed Community in Moneague, St Ann, where the Medical/Dental Team will administer dental services and medical screenings to the residents.

“I am not here to be the hope of Jamaica, but to link arms with you, my brothers and sisters, and to provide some encouragement and support. I unequivocally believe, as it is written in Psalm 133, that there is a commanded blessing and life forevermore when we operate in unity. Therefore, it is imperative for us as the body of Christ to unify and work in collaboration with the government, charitable organizations, and the private sector at this time, not under a political movement or a denomination, but under the banner of Christ’s love to maximize the kingdom’s impact and ultimately the growth and advancement of the people. We want to show the world a unified body of Christ through our relationship with God and with each other,” Pastor McClurkin said.
