Residents, workers, students, businesses, and commuters in and around Half-Way-Tree now have access to a new 24-hour healthcare option with the opening of Half Way Tree Urgent Care, an ambulatory medical facility designed to deliver accessible, efficient outpatient care in one of the country’s busiest commercial centres.

Located beside KFC and across from Nelson Mandela Park, Half Way Tree Urgent Care introduces a convenient healthcare model for persons seeking quality medical attention without the long wait times and challenges often associated with traditional hospital visits. The central location provides easy access for persons travelling by foot, public transportation, or private motor vehicle, with parking also available on South Odeon Avenue.

The facility is designed to serve the entire family, as well as the many businesses, schools, and institutions operating within Half-Way-Tree and surrounding communities. Services include general medical consultations, blood tests and imaging, medical examinations, ambulatory care, and minor surgical procedures.

Operating 24 hours daily, Half Way Tree Urgent Care will give patients access to medical support at any time of day or night.

The facility is led by Dr Germaine Spencer, Cosmetic-Gynaecologist, CEO of Baywest Wellness Clinic and Beauty by Doctors, and Founder and CEO of Half Way Tree Urgent Care. Dr Spencer, who has served the Jamaican medical community for more than 22 years, said the development was driven by a desire to make quality healthcare more accessible, convenient, and responsive to the pace of modern life.
