The Jamaica 4-H Clubs will officially open its reimagined Youth in Agriculture Village on Saturday, August 1, 2026, during Youth and Minister Day at the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show. 

The opening ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m.and will feature Floyd Green, MP, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining.

The Youth in Agriculture Village will operate from July 31 to August 2 at the Denbigh Showgrounds in Clarendon. This year’s experience has been redesigned to showcase how modern technology, innovation and entrepreneurship can be integrated into traditional agricultural practices.

Under the theme,“A New Era: Overcoming Challenges, Building Resilience, Securing Our Future,” the Village will provide an engaging platform for youth, farmers and families to explore the changing face of Jamaican agriculture.

Among the major highlights will be the National Youth AgriTech Challenge, where the top five finalists will present practical, technology-driven solutions to some of Jamaica’s most pressing agricultural challenges.

The finalists will compete for a share of JMD $1 million in prizes.

Patrons will also experience a variety of modern agricultural integrations, including drone technology demonstrations, 3D camera mapping systems, precision-agriculture solutions, interactive technology displays and other digital farming innovations. 

These features will demonstrate how technology can improve productivity, strengthen resilience and create new opportunities throughout the agricultural value chain.

The Village will also feature youth-led enterprises, agribusiness showcases, educational exhibits, sponsor activations, live demonstrations and networking opportunities connecting young people with agricultural professionals, educators, entrepreneurs and technology partners.

The official opening on August 1 will signal an exciting new chapter for the Youth in Agriculture Village, positioning it as a modern, interactive space where agriculture, technology and youth innovation converge.
