Answering the call for donations by the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) last Wednesday (June 14), members of Dream Entertainment Limited were in attendance to champion the cause of voluntary blood donation across Jamaica.

The blood drive, organised in commemoration of World Blood Donor Day, was themed ‘Give Blood. Give plasma. Share life. Share often’.

Last Wednesday also saw the unveiling of a new mobile unit and the mounting of the name of the donors who has reached 50 units, on the ‘Donor Board’.

For his part, Scott Dunn, managing director of Dream Entertainment, noted that his team was honoured to be part of such a worthwhile initiative.

“Blood is a critical life-saving element of public health, and is needed for everyday operations in our hospitals. The need for voluntary donations is noticeable, especially after the pandemic when we were visibly short on blood to save the lives of our loved ones. Every donation is life-saving and in order to maintain a safe, healthy blood supply, donation is the key,”
