The upcoming UEFA European Football Championship final, set to take place at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Sunday (July 14), will be between England and Spain.

But in a stroke of coincidence, searching online about who will win the match this weekend could very more likely connect internet users to a viral ‘English or Spanish’ TikTok trend.

The ‘English or Spanish’ TikTok trend, which has been taking over the app, has now become a legitimate question to ask a football fan right now.

In the original videos, users would walk up to random men and ask them on camera, “Do you speak English or Spanish?” Once they respond, it is quickly followed up by saying: “Whoever moves first is gay.”

This unexpected, comical twist typically leads the men to freeze completely for a long time, getting into a face-off on camera to ‘prove’ that they’re not gay.

The trend has been racking up millions of views and even resulted in the question being posed to legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic by popular streamer IShowSpeed in his latest YouTube video posted on Tuesday (July 9) during his trip to Europe.
