FIFA has adjusted its ticket plans for the 2026 World Cup, announcing a limited batch of lower-priced $60 (£45) tickets for all 104 matches after fans pushed back against the original pricing.
The lower-priced tickets will be reserved for supporters of countries that qualify for the tournament and will be distributed through each nation’s football association. These tickets sit in the supporter entry tier and account for 10% of each association’s allocation, with another 40% falling into the slightly higher supporter value tier.
Each participating association will decide who qualifies and how tickets are distributed, with priority intended for fans closely connected to their national teams. The rest of the tickets are split evenly between the standard and premier supporter tiers.
For England and Scotland, the change means roughly 400 tickets priced at £45 will be available for their group stage matches, offering a more accessible option for fans hoping to attend the tournament.
