Building materials supplier, Fleetwood Jamaica Limited is positioning itself for significant growth in 2025 by expanding its home improvement line and enhancing its distribution network to meet the increasing demand from the growing do-it-yourself (DIY) market and the construction sector.
With a focus on product innovation and strategic distribution, the company is set to take its product offerings to new heights both locally and internationally, driven by a strong portfolio of locally manufactured paintbrushes and rollers, alongside essential home and outdoor products such as rakes, brooms, mops and buckets.
As the DIY market grows and more consumers invest in home renovations, Fleetwood is exploring new additions to its product line that align with these shifting demands. Fleetwood’s Home Improvement Division, which currently accounts for more than half of the company’s revenue is strengthening local presence, which has seen impressive sales growth over the last five years.
Positioning for future growth
Positioning for future growth, the company is scaling production, distribution and product innovation through its solar-powered factory based in Yallahs, St Thomas, and expanding distribution. Fleetwood is now collaborating with regional suppliers to secure the necessary machinery and materials to meet the rising demand for products like paint brushes and mops.
To improve operational efficiency, there are plans to increase automation by the end of 2025, enabling the business to meet local and international demand while maintaining its high standards. On the international front, the focus is shifting towards expanding into key Caribbean markets, with particular attention to Guyana’s booming construction industry.
Along with scaling production, efforts are also being focused on driving product innovation and solidifying new partner relationships. Plans to expand the home improvement line include the introduction of eco-friendly options, seasonal products, and specialised tools catering to both DIY enthusiasts and contractors, locally and across the region.
Managing director Richard Coe commented, “We are actively exploring opportunities to expand into new markets, including Guyana and other parts of the Caribbean. As we continue to expand our reach and product offerings, we are confident that Fleetwood will lead the way in providing quality home improvement solutions across the region.”

Continuing, Coe says Fleetwood is excited about the opportunities ahead and is committed to providing high-quality products that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
According to him “Our expansion in both product offerings and distribution channels is a key part of our strategy to not only strengthen our position in Jamaica but also increase our presence in regional markets.”
