Carreras make several management changes

Jamaican cigarette distributor, Carreras Limited, has announced several management changes.

Effective March 31, 2026, Rochelle Lee will cease to act as Assistant Company Secretary of Carreras Limited. The Board thanks Ms Lee for her service and contribution to the company and wishes her every success in her future endeavours. 

No replacement has been made but in the Marketing Department, Imran Mohammed has been appointed Marketing Deployment Manager. He brings strong commercial and deployment expertise to the role and will support the execution of the Company’s brand, consumer and channel strategies across the market.

In the meantime, Manuel Ruiz will cease to serve as Head of Trade, effective April 30, 2026, as he returns to the parent company, British American Tobacco (BAT) Mexico, to take up a new role within the BAT Group. The Board expresses its sincere appreciation to Ruiz for his leadership and contribution to the Trade function during his tenure and extends best wishes for continued success in his new assignment.

Appointment of Head of Trade 

Following this transition, Carreras is announcing the appointment of Hector R. Bustillo as Head of Trade, effective May 1, 2026 (subject to regulatory approval). Bustillo has been with British American Tobacco for over fourteen years, with experience spanning sales, trade marketing, brand management and commercial deployment across Mexico, Colombia, Central America and the Caribbean. 

He brings deep expertise in driving route-to-market excellence across traditional tobacco and new categories, including vapour and modern oral products. The Board has expressed its confidence that Bustillo’s leadership, regional perspective and strong cross-functional capabilities will further strengthen the Carreras’ trade agenda and support the delivery of long-term value for shareholders.
