Flow is taking steps to ensure customers can fully benefit from the enhanced experience and faster speeds of its new 5G network.

As part of its ongoing public education and awareness efforts, the company is encouraging customers to check the compatibility of their mobile devices and SIM cards to determine their readiness.“5G is being made available to all, and as a new technology in the region, we expect that some customers will need time to access its full benefits. This includes having a 5G-enabled handset paired with a compatible SIM card. The first step we advise is checking your SIM card,” said Dwight Williams, Director, B2C Sales, and Distribution.

By dialing *555# from any Flow mobile phone, customers can quickly access information about their SIM cards and determine whether an upgrade is needed. Customers may also consult official manufacturer sources, such as websites or user manuals, to confirm device compatibility.

Flow customers can visit any of the company’s retail stores island-wide, where trained representatives are available to conduct a full device and SIM assessment at no charge.

For added convenience, Flow has created an online platform where customers can book an appointment at select Flow stores, allowing for better time management. Customers can book their appointment at https://discoverflow.co/jamaica/book-appointment.

Flow’s 5G rollout is being introduced in phases, starting with postpaid residential and business mobile customers.

“As we continue to expand access across our wider mobile subscriber base, we are using this opportunity to educate and prepare customers for the transition. We are also working to ensure that 5G devices are accessible to more customers,” added Williams.

For customers who need to upgrade, Flow offers a range of 5G-compatible devices across multiple price points, including Apple iPhone, Samsung, TCL, and ZTE smartphones. These devices are available with interest-free installment plans ranging from 12 to 24 months. Customers can also take advantage of a special offer on a 5G-compatible Samsung phone for only $5,000 + GCT on a 12-month plan.

“Our 5G network represents a significant investment in Jamaica’s digital future, and we want every customer to benefit fully. While we do not expect this transition to happen overnight, we remain committed to supporting our customers every step of the way,” said Williams.
