Telecommunications provider Flow has reinforced its commitment to keeping Jamaicans connected as the country braces for Hurricane Melissa.

The company has announced that all its residential prepaid mobile customers will receive 1GB of bonus data, valid for 72 hours. Customers will be notified via SMS with instructions on how to apply the data to their accounts. They can also visit Flow’s social media accounts at @flowjamaica for further instructions.

According to Danielle Savory, senior communications manager at Flow, the gesture reflects the company’s understanding of how vital communication is during times of uncertainty.

“At Flow, we know that staying connected can make all the difference when preparing for a storm—whether it’s checking on loved ones, accessing emergency updates, or simply for emotional relief during these difficult times,” said Savory. “This bonus data is our way of helping customers stay informed and supported as we weather this storm together.”

Apologising for the inconvenience caused, Flow has also confirmed that its mobile voice services were fully restored last evening following a temporary service interruption on Sunday morning.

Customers experiencing any service disruptions are encouraged to contact Flow’s Customer Service team via WhatsApp at 876-620-2200 for prompt assistance. Flow is also currently operating an  Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), which may be reached at 876-929-9834 / 9837 to report any emergency, including downed service lines.
