Mike Jeffries, ex-CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch, was arrested alongside his partner Matthew Smith in a sex trafficking probe.

Allegations suggest the duo exploited young men at private events, promising them modelling careers. These accusations follow a 2022 civil lawsuit where victims claimed they were coerced into sexual acts.

Jeffries, who led the brand during its controversial peak, has faced criticism for over-sexualising campaigns and exclusionary policies.

Jeffries and Smith are scheduled to appear in federal court in Florida and Wisconsin on Tuesday, October 22. Later, they will be arraigned in the Eastern District of New York.

From 1992 to 2014, Jeffries served as the CEO of the well known apparel company, Abercrombie & Fitch.

The Eastern District of New York US Attorney will hold a press conference regarding the charges later today.
