Former member of the popular boy band One Direction, Liam Payne, has died at the age of 31. The singer reportedly fell from a third-story balcony at the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The incident occurred in the trendy Palermo neighbourhood of Argentina’s capital, where Payne was reportedly attending a concert by one of his former bandmates, Niall Horan. Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.

Payne rose to international fame with One Direction, which formed on The X Factor in 2010. The band achieved massive success before going on hiatus in 2015.
