Former Raiders All-Pro centre Barret Robbins has passed away in his sleep at the age of 52, a fact confirmed by longtime teammate Tim Brown.
Brown shared that he received the news from Robbins’ family.
Robbins, a standout at TCU, was drafted in the second round by the Raiders in 1995 and played nine seasons in the NFL. His best career moments include a Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro honours in 2002. He is also remembered for the dramatic events surrounding Super Bowl XXXVII, when he went missing the night before the game due to struggles with his mental health.
