Fujitsu Caribbean inked a landmark contract with the Government of Jamaica to implement its new Electronic Land Titling (e-Titles) System, a transformative digital platform that will modernize the country’s land administration framework.

Valued at over US$34 million, the project will be executed through the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation and the National Land Agency (NLA).

This initiative will replace Jamaica’s traditional paper-based system with a secure, fully digital system for land titles, land surveying and land valuation. The e-titles platform will enable real-time updates, secure online access, and faster processing of most transactions across all divisions of the NLA, such as transfers, mortgages, first registration of land, subdivisions, land surveys and amendments to the valuation roll.

“This is a defining moment for Jamaica’s digital transformation journey,” said Mervyn Eyre, president and CEO of Fujitsu Caribbean. “We are honoured to support the Government of Jamaica on this bold initiative, which will empower citizens, unlock economic value, and set a new standard for public sector innovation. Our team, including our technology partners Innola Solutions and Sidwell, industry leaders in the land management software industry, will deliver a world-class solution that reflects Jamaica’s aspirations for a modern, inclusive digital society.”

“We stand at the threshold of a new era in real estate and conveyancing. With the introduction of electronic titling, we are moving beyond outdated paper-based systems and embracing innovation that brings speed, security, and efficiency to every transaction. This bold transformation will build trust, drive investment, and position our country as a global leader in modern property practices,” said Cheriese Walcott McDonald, CEO of the National Land Agency.

Full implementation of the new digital operation is to be completed in 2029, supported by the legislative amendments required, with phased rollout starting in 2027.
