Today, reggae artiste Koffee is celebrating another year of life as she celebrates her 23^rd birthday.

Since coming on to the music scene the Toast singer has been blazing the trail and has won several awards along the way. With hits after hits Koffee has been satisfying her large fan base.

In 2020 the artiste won a Grammy for her EP Rapture making her the youngest person (at 19) and the only woman to be awarded in the Best Reggae Album category, earning her the moniker ‘Grammy Kid’.

Born Mikayla Simpson, Koffee grew up in Spanish Town with her mother who helped in fostering her musical aspirations.

Koffee, who got her name after ordering a coffee on a boiling hot day while her friends opted for soda – began her musical life as a child in the church choir.

Over the years, the Grammy Kid has performed with several reggae artistes. She was introduced on stage by veteran Cocoa Tea at Rebel Salute in 2018. The young artiste has also had the opportunity to perform with her musical inspirations Protoje and Chronixx.
