

Today marks a special day for Jamaican songstress Nadine Sutherland as she celebrates another beautiful year of life. The reggae singer, who turns 55 today, is known and loved for her bubbling and authentic personality.
Sutherland was born on March 15, 1968, in Kingston. She grew up in the quiet community of Above Rocks in St Catherine.
She began singing at a tender age and would eventually go on to win the then-popular Tastee Talent Contest in 1979 at just 11 years of age.
Following her historic Tastee win, Sutherland was signed to the Tuff Gong Label, where she was nurtured by music legend Bob Marley.
She went on to become a successful artist in the 1990s and has been charting a course for herself within the music space both locally and internationally ever since.
