Streaming service now available in Latin American and Caribbean

Streaming service HBO Max is now available in Jamaica and 38 other territories across Latin America and the Caribbean and, to celebrate its launch, brings with it a new and exclusive one-of-a-kind launch offer it says is aimed at rewarding its best fans.

In a release, HBO Max said that, buy subscribing to the platform on hbomax.com by July 31, Latin American fans will benefit from a 50 per cent discount off the regular monthly plan for as long as they maintain their subscription without interruption, whether it be for months or years.

The big day has finally arrived and we couldn’t be more thrilled, as we launch HBO Max in our region with an unprecedented offer rewarding our first wave of subscribers, making our vast collection of movies and TV series incredibly affordable. This past year, with its unprecedented health and economic crises, it has been challenging for our fans all the way from Tijuana to Tierra del Fuego, and so we are thrilled to bring some joy and inspiration to the entire community through this exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime launch offer,” said Luis Durán, general manager of HBO Max for Latin America.

Among the countries HBO Max is now available are Jamaica Mexico, Brazil, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks and Caicos, and Venezuela.

The move will phase out existing HBO Go service, but those with direct subscriptions will have “instant access” to Max.

“The platform also includes original productions from Latin America featuring local creators and talents, as well as renowned titles from countries around the world.”
